- Each car is parked on a separate palette (tray)
- The system automatically moves each parked car – When a car needs to be parked or retrieved the system will automatically move the cars up or down.
- The elevator goes down into a pit – In this system the elevator moves the bottom cars down into a pit to enable the upper car to be retrieved. The depth of the pit will depend on the number of cars parked in the unit.
- Various ways of operating the system – The simple elevator system can be operated mechanically, pneumatically or hydraulically.
- Different activation methods – The control system can be activated by a number of different methods depending on the specific model installed. In most cases it will be activated by a button or key when the car wishes to park. Other activation methods include an IC card or a remote control.
The following video demonstrates the integration of a number of Simple Elevator Systems combined with conventional parking spaces in a situation where the street level and the building levels are at different heights.
