- Increases the number of parking spaces – These systems multiply the amount of parking spaces in the designated area. They integrate several columns and rows of palettes. Each floor can be several rows deep and several parking spaces long. Each system can have several floors. The actual constellation will depend on the building regulations, licensing, on the specific parameters of the area available for parking and the number of required parking spaces.
- The Moving Palettes System – The system operates by the simultaneous movement of palettes on the horizontal plane of any floor. The palettes can all move at the same time in one direction (left or right) or some to the right and some to the left. A palette can be moved between rows on the same floor as long as there is an empty space in front of or behind the moving palette. The system can raise or lower a palette as long as there is an empty space above or below the moving palette.
- The “Empty Space” principle – There must always be at least one empty space on each floor. All the cars are parked on palettes which are moved to enable a car to be parked or retrieved.
- Above or Underground –The moving pallet system can either be used above ground, or below ground, or in a combination of both above and below ground.
